What the game doesn’t see CQ foundation(CQ) Foundations is a self-paced online course that equips coaches, teachers, youth workers and case workers with the practical skills to build trust and engage effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) young people.

Unlike generic “cultural awareness” training, CQ Foundations is grounded in original field research: over 20 site visits across the UK, Canada and the United States as part of a 2026 Winston Churchill Fellowship, cross-referenced against international youth justice research (the Donald Mackay Churchill Fellowship, 2023) and lived-experience research with young Black men affected by community violence (Juvenis, “The Life of a Top Boy”, 2023). Every module links a practical strategy back to why it works.
