YOUTH JUSTICE PROGRAMS
WHY JUSTICE-FOCUSED SPORT MATTERS
Young people in custody deeply need safe structure, trusted adults and pathways that feel real. Rams Group actively uses sport, mentoring and wellbeing activities to build essential routine, accountability and hope. In partnership with the Department of Human Services, we design safe and purposeful sessions that help participants regulate emotions, rebuild trust and thoroughly prepare for life beyond the facility.

Philosophy
PREPARING FOR LIFE BEYOND
Our philosophy centers on ensuring that gains inside can continue outside. Cultural safety is highly prioritised for CALD and Indigenous participants throughout all our activities. Where possible, we proactively connect learning to education or vocational options and start planning for community re-entry early on, ensuring that every young person is prepared for life beyond the facility.
Approach
HOW WE DELIVER INSIDE FACILITIES
Programs follow clear routines with highly qualified mentors and coaches. Each session seamlessly blends sport-based training with one-to-one and small-group mentoring, plus short wellbeing workshops on decision making, communication and self management.
Throughout the program, we consistently set simple goals, track progress and celebrate consistent effort. Cultural safety is prioritised for CALD and Indigenous participants to ensure an inclusive environment.
